Power 300: Black & Latino VCs You Should Know 💥
Our 2022 Diverse VC Investors Report is hot off the press! The report highlights 316 investors in 244 US-based funds, an increase of 26% from our 2020 report. Check out some of the key insights:
💥51% are Black Men, 20% Black Women, 16% Latino Men and 13% Latina Women
💥88% are senior investors while only 12% are juniors
💥Of the 17 that broke into VC, 65% came from graduate school and 50% are Black Men
💥Although NY and SF still have the largest share of investors, it decreased from 54% to 45%, with SF seeing 16 investors leave the city (18%)
💥There was an increase of 21% in the number of funds, with 245 funds having 1+ Black or Latino VC
💥14 funds had 3+ Black or Latino investors
We’re excited to see an increase in the number of funds represented. Progress is being made, but there are still a majority of funds without Black or Latino representation, and it’s our hope for this report to inspire more funds to join this list.
Diverse Founders and Operators and Investors, oh my! 🗽
Harlem Capital organized a meetup in New York City, which brought together over 30 diverse founders, operators, and investors from the tech ecosystem. Connecting with such talented individuals was truly a pleasure, and it has left us feeling even more enthusiastic about our mission to change the face of entrepreneurship.
